Leo E. Burger, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 28, 1911, in Scott County, Mo., son of Alexander and Clara Georger Burger. He and Florence Hahn were married March 4, 1935, at Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson. She died on Oct. 31, 2000.
Burger farmed in Scott County until his retirement. He was a member of St. Marys Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include three daughters, Yvonne "Bonnie" Werner, of Jackson, Nadine Davis of Cape Girardeau and Geraldine Fisher of Glen Carbon, Ill.; three sisters, Linda Ziegler and Rose Hillman of Benton, Mo., and Ann Thompson of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Gir-ardeau. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. at the chapel.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Marys Cathedral. The Rev. Thomas Kiefer will officiate, with burial in St. Marys Cemetery.
