LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Lenzel Loy Lukefahr, 81, of Leopold passed away Friday, April 17, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 7, 1933, in Sedgewickville, Missouri, son of Pervis and Beulah Haupt Lukefahr. He and Patsy Josephine Meyer were married Nov. 26, 1954.
Lenzel was a farmer. He was a member of FSH Board and Rotary Club, and was an elder at Lutesville Presbyterian Church.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy of Leopold; a son, Tim (Susie) Lukefahr of Leopold; a daughter, Linda (Bruce) Greer of Marble Hill, Missouri; three brothers, LeRoy and Junior Lukefahr of Leopold and Jim Lukefahr of Newton, Iowa; a sister, Viola Blog of Florissant, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jason (Candy) Greer, Stacie (Matt) Hinkle, Adam (Amy) Lukefahr, Whittney Lukefahr and Justin Greer; and three great-grandchildren, Harlie, Skyler and Payten Hinkle, and baby Lukefahr on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pervis and Beulah; and a brother, Tom Lukefahr.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Elijah Allen and David Conley officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill with full military honors.
