Lena Reeves

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Lena M. Reeves, 85, of St. Jacob, Ill., passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.

She was born Aug. 19, 1928, at Hurricane, Mo., to Ernest Otto and Mary Catherine Garland Moore. She and Allen B. Reeves were married May 9, 1948. He passed away Oct. 28, 2006.

Lena owned a farm and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include a son, Allan B. Reeves Jr. of St. Jacob; a daughter, P. Alline Grotefendt of Granite City, Ill.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pauline Moxley.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to time of service Thursday at Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Jimmie Fulbright officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery near Marble Hill.
