LENA LAURENTIUS

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lena Louise Laurentius, 88, of Perryville died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born April 28, 1912, at Lixville, Mo., daughter of William C. and Wilmena Bangert Ruessler. She and Silverius Anton Laurentius were married April 5, 1930. He died Jan. 10, 1975.

Laurentius was a top stitcher at International Shoe Co. in Perryville 36 years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Married Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Bachmann of St. Louis, Ruth Winkler of Zeeland, Mich.; a sister, Emma Gerringer of Perryville; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-stepgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at St. Vincent's Church after 9 a.m. Saturday.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate.
