LEEMON, Mo. -- Lena Viola Farrow, 87, of Fieldon, Ill., died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville, Ill.

She was born Aug. 8, 1915, at Leemon, daughter of Albert and Ora Unger McClard. She and Oliver Clarence Farrow were married Dec. 24, 1935, in Perryville, Mo.

Farrow had worked at Lowenbaum's Dress Factory in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of West Alton Community Church in West Alton, Mo., and past president of VFW Auxiliary in West Alton.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Lloyd Farrow of Fieldon, Paul Farrow of Alton, Ill., Albert "Butch" of West Alton; a daughter, Barbara Klein of Inman, S.C.; a brother, John McClard Sr. of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Fine and Quinn Chapel for Funerals in Alton from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Indian Creek Cemetery near Oriole, with the Rev. Steve Pace officiating.
