LELA B. VERNON

PERRYVILLE -- Funeral service for Lela B. Vernon of Perryville will be held at 2 p.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church here. The Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Vernon, 86, died Friday, July 30, 1993, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 26, 1907, in Perry County, daughter of William and Emma Hoehn Boxdorfer. She and Elmer Vernon were married July 15, 1924.

Survivors include her husband; eight sons, Harold, Linus, Elvis, Leroy, Willard, Ray, Larry and Gary Vernon, all of Perryville; four daughters, Evelyn Cottner, Delores Neuling and Sharon Baudendistel of Perryville, Connie Kaepfer of Evansville, Ill.; a sister, Linda Bohnert of Crosstown; 31 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren, and 10 great-stepgrandchildren.
