Leita L. Kiehn, 94, formerly of Jackson, died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Advance Nursing Center.
She was born Nov. 16, 1908, in Advance, Mo., daughter of George and Mella Reed Chapman. She and Louis M. Kiehn were married Aug. 24, 1940, in Cape Girardeau. He died Aug. 19, 1973.
Kiehn taught elementary school several years in various rural schools. She later worked at the former International Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson, and its Wesleyan Circle.
Survivors include three brothers, Bill and Jack Chapman of Chaffee, Mo., Ben Chapman of St. Louis; and a sister, Maxine Smith of Delta.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Rice officiating. Burial will be in Jackson City Cemetery.
