BLOOMFIELD -- Lehman J. O'Neal, 78, of Bloomfield, died Tuesday, April 25, 1995, at Dexter Nursing Home in Dexter.
He was born March 20, 1917, in Pocahontas, Ark., son of James and Jennie Hibbard O'Neal. He and Mary McConnaughhay were married June 26, 1943. She died Jan. 27, 1994.
O'Neal came to Missouri in 1940, moved to Michigan in 1944, and then to Bloomfield in 1976. He was retired from General Motors. He was a member of St. Joe General Baptist Church in Idalia.
Survivors include two brothers, Raymond O'Neal of Bloomfield, Glen O'Neal of Jackson, Tenn.; five sisters, Mayme McConnaughhay and Faye Wheeler of Flint, Mich., Opal Smith of Jackson, Tenn., Lavelle Young of Sikeston, and Juanita Rankins of Gray Ridge.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dan Sitze officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
