JACKSON -- Lee Roy Cotner, 77, of Jackson died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at the home of a daughter in Gordonville, following a lengthy illness.
He was born June 8, 1920, at Leemon, son of Arthur and Daisy Catherine King Cotner. He and Dorothy Marie Humes were married June 8, 1945, in Jackson. She died Dec. 17, 1996.
Cotner worked at the former Frank's Shoe Repair a number of years, and was employed at Davis Electric in Cape Girardeau for 32 years.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and Altenthal Joerns American Legion Post 158. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Douglas Cotner of Jackson; two daughters, Edie Nance of Jackson, Donna Schreiner of Gordonville; two brothers, Glen Cotner of Jackson, Linus Cotner of St. Charles; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe McCullough will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 10 a.m. until service time.
