Lee R. "Leroy" Sanders, 64, of North Fort Myers, Fla., died Sunday, Dec. 11, 1994, at his home.
He was born at Commerce and was formerly of Cape Girardeau. He married the former Bonnie Ward.
Sanders moved to Lehigh Acres, Fla., from Anderson, Ind., in 1964. He was an electrician at Lehigh Acres many years, and was retired from greyhound breeding and racing. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Lee Sanders Jr. of Felda, Fla.; two daughters, Barbara Jackson of Sally, S.C., Patricia Baskins of Columbia, S.C.; two stepsons, Ted Biser of North Fort Myers, Kent Biser of Cape Coral, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Valerie Bahnsen of Cape Coral; two brothers, Adam Sanders of Anderson, Raymond Sanders of North Fort Myers; two sisters, Dorothy Curry of Chaffee, Viola Tessman of Sullivan, Ill.; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Farley Funeral Home in Lehigh Acres.
Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m.
