PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- Lee Ottis Evans, 53, of Portageville was pronounced dead on arrival Friday, July 22, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo. PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- Lee Ottis Evans, 53, of Portageville was pronounced dead on arrival Friday, July 22, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo.

He was born Sept. 30, 1951, at Marston, Mo., son of Prentiss Adams and Julia Evans.

Evans attended St. Louis public schools. He was a construction worker.

Survivors include two sons, Lee Evans Jr. of St. Louis, Orlando Evans of Malden, Mo.; a daughter, Angela Evans of Sikeston, Mo.; his father of Chicago; a sister, Glenda Wadley of St. Louis; fiancee Karen Wells of Portageville; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Marston from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday.

The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Kirk Dunnavant officiating. Burial will be in Mason Cemetery at Point Pleasant, Mo.

Williams Funeral Home at Howardville, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
