CHAFFEE, Mo. — Lee Anna Chambers, 83, of Chaffee died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 12, 1924, at New Hamburg, Mo., daughter of Leon Herbert and Alvina Christina Baudendistel Dumey. She and Lee Roy Chambers were married Nov. 22, 1952. He died Aug. 6, 2001.
Chambers had been a payroll clerk at Sports Specialty Shoe Factory/Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Daughters of St. Ambrose, and Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3127.
Survivors include a brother, Leon DuMay of Cape Girardeau; and two sisters, Martha Castleman of Florissant, Mo., and Laverne Leible of Farmington, Mo.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Burial was April 27 at Texas Bend Cemetery near Charleston, Mo.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating.
