MOUNDS, Ill. -- Lee Atkinson, 93, of Mounds, died Dec. 2, 1992 at the Cape Nursing Center.
He was superintendent of highways for Pulaski County, Ill., before his retirement.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Mounds, a 50-year-member of Grand Chain Masonic Lodge No. 660, and a 50-year-member of the Order of Eastern Star in Mound City.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia B. Atkinson, and by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by several cousins and a close friends, Alberta Nelson of Mounds.
Friends may call at the Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds after 4 p.m. today. Masonic Rites will be conducted at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. by Grand Chain Masonic Lodge No. 660.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday a the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
