Lawrence Wade, 74, of Jackson died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 22, 1933, in Jackson, son of Elmer and Beatrice Sims Wade.
Wade was employed by Jackson Police Department, and was in charge of security at the Lutheran Home before retiring. He was a member of Futrell Memorial Church of God in Christ, and served as a deacon and on various boards.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include two daughters, Wauneen White of St. Louis, Jori Hammond of Atlanta; a son, Ronald Wade of St. Louis; and several grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at Futrell Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Ollie Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Williams Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
