Lawrence E. Friedrich, 80, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at Heartland Care and Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 4, 1934, in Bell City, Missouri, the son of Fritz and Marzena Johnson Friedrich.
Larry had been a small engine mechanic. He loved to tinker with motors.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Childers of Gordonville; two sons, Larry Friedrich of Anniston, Missouri, and Jerry Friedrich of Bloomfield, Missouri; two brothers, Alvin Friedrich of Perkins, Missouri, and Roy Edward Friedrich of Jackson; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gilbert and Freeman Friedrich.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
Morgan Funeral Home in Advance is in charge of all arrangements.
