Funeral for Lawrence Lowell Fee of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Steve Vester will officiate. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum, with military rites by Missouri National Guard.

Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Fee, 76, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ira A. and Vada Gaines Fee. He and Cora Bizzell were married March 28, 1946, in Piggott, Ark.

Fee was head of the maintenance shop at the National Guard Armory many years. He was a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942-45, and was with the Army National Guard 42 years. He served in the Balkans, France, Naples and Rome during World War II, and was awarded six Bronze Stars and the Distinguished Badge.

Fee was a member of VFW Post 3838.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gary Fee of New Hamburg, Mo.; Terry Fee of Cape Girardeau, Larry Fee of Fruitland, Mo.; four daughters, Sandra Glastetter of New Hamburg, Judith McMullin of Chaffee, Mo., Becky Fee of Jackson, Mo., Theresa Dormeyer of Oriole, Mo.; a brother, Ronald Fee of Jefferson City, Mo.; a sister, LaVern Griffaw of Cape Girardeau; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers.
