Laverne Hirsch, 74, 1855 Thilenius, died Monday, Jan. 30, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital, following a fall in her home Jan. 25.
She was born Feb. 15, 1920, at Blodgett, daughter of Elmer and Irene Bess Moore. She and Ralph L. Hirsch were married Oct. 6, 1940, in Cape Girardeau.
Hirsch was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a circle of the church. She had also been a member of Tuesday Club, Executives Club, Rotary Anns, and had been active in scouting.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Donald Hirsch of St. Louis, John Hirsch of Sikeston, Joseph Hirsch of Bloomington, Ind., Charles Hirsch of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Carole Folwell of Toledo, Ohio, Mary Davis of Norcross, Ga.; three brothers, Bill, Delmer "Doc" and T. Dale Moore, all of Hartford, Ill.; two sisters, Fern Sweeny of Shrewsbury, Helen Stalculp of Rosewood Heights, Ill., and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church. The Revs. Ed Brasington and Charlie Dreyer will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
