MOREHOUSE -- LaVerne H. Beck, 70, of Morehouse, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born June 29, 1924, in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., daughter of W.C. and Bitha Mae Estes Hanback. She and Joseph G. Beck were married Sept. 6, 1941, in Osceola, Ark. He died May 2, 1984.
Beck had been a machine operator with International Shoe Co. She was a member of Morehouse General Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Billy Beck of Sikeston; two daughters, JoAnn Dial and Sue Lutes of Morehouse; four brothers, Jack Hanback of Gaylord, Mich., Hank Hanback of Cedar Hills, Tony Hanback of Columbus, Ohio, and Terry Hanback of Niles Mich.; four sisters, Imogene Babb, Dean Brown and Brenda Hann of Dexter, Carolyn Cole of Niles; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery at Bloomfield.
