LaVern Martha Margaret Wolfe, 84, of Scott City died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 21, 1921, at Illmo, Mo., daughter of William George and Pauline Elizabeth Eifert Sander. She and Fred Kalmus Wolfe were married June 18, 1937, at Benton. He died Aug. 30, 1990. She was a seamstress employed by Ely Walker and Havco. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City.
Survivors include a daughter, Eileen McMurran of St. Louis; a brother, Elroy Sander of Breese, Ill.; six sisters, Lillian Little of Scott City, Geneva Seyer of High Ridge, Mo., Wanda McCord of St. Louis, Betty Goodman of Fenton, Mo., Marilyn Graham of O'Fallon, Mo., Jacquelline Metzger of Wright City, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Christina Phillips, John Eagan, Bill Eagan, Sherri Ware, Kathy Caldwell, Brian Simmons, Tracy Simmons, Angela Gross; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Tempa Simmons and Marjorie Eagan; and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City and from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eisleben Lutheran Church.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eisleben Lutheran Church. The Rev. Bob Azinger will officiate, with burial in Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery.
