TAMMS, Ill. -- Funeral for Laveda Erleen Grantham of Altus, Okla., formerly of Tamms, was held Nov. 1, 2000, at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus. The Rev. Keith Wiginton officiated. Burial was in Altus City Cemetery.

Grantham, 86, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
She was born Dec. 28, 1913, in Kirksville, Ill., daughter of Elmer and Emma Peters Brock.
Grantham lived in Tamms most of her life. She was a 1932 graduate of Salem High School. She was a self-employed hairdresser 25 years, and was a nurse aide at St. David's Hospital in Austin, Texas. She moved to Altus in 1983, and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Robinson of Altus; a sister, Mildred Abercrombie of Tamms; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
