JACKSON, Mo. -- Funeral for Laura Stearns of Jackson will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Lloyd Bollinger will officiate. Burial will be in Snider Cemetery near Millersville.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4-8 p.m.

Stearns, 81, died Thursday, June 29, 2000, at her home.

She was born Aug. 31, 1918, at Millersville, daughter of Burney and Avis Limbaugh Seabaugh. She and Lawrence Stearns were married Aug. 24, 1933.

Formerly of Millersville, the Stearns moved to Jackson in 1970. She was a member of Millersville United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women. She had worked in food service in Jackson.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Larry Stearns of Jackson, Lane Stearns of Millersville; two sisters, Lou Maevers of Cape Girardeau, Imogene Kinder of St. Louis; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
