SIKESTON -- Laura J. "Pat" Meeks, 61, a resident of Jacksonville, Fla., and formerly of Sikeston, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1993, at the Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville.

She was born July 9, 1932, in Alma, Ark., to the late Lonzo and Mary Etta Stovall Murphy.

She was a member of the Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston and was a homemaker.

She first married Kenneth Moore on Dec. 9, 1950, in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1986. She married Bill Meeks, who survives in Jacksonville.

She is also survived by one son, Steve Moore of Stafford, Va.; one daughter, Laura Ann Follis of Oldsmar, Fla.; one stepson, Mike Meeks of Paducah, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Brenda Lowery of Dawson Springs, Ky., and Ann Caskey of Mayfield, Ky.; four brothers, Gene Murphy of Sikeston, Dean Murphy of Jefferson City, Jerry Murphy of Pensacola, Fla., and the Rev. Larry Murphy of Reedville, Va.; three sisters, Lucille Mills of Gilbertsville, Ky., Virginia Walls of Fenton, Mo., and Barbara Murray of Sikeston; two grandchildren and seven stepgrandchildren.

Two brothers preceded her in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Nunnelee Chapel, with the Rev. Carl Addison, pastor of the Tanner Street Church of God, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Vernon Guttenfelder, pastor of the Morley Church of God.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
