JONESBORO, Ill. -- Laura Arlene McCann, 71, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997, at her home.

She was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Cobden, daughter of Robert and Augusta Stegle Cavaness. She and Willard L. McCann were married March 28, 1945, in Paducah, Ky.

McCann was a real estate agent, and member of First Presbyterian Church in Cobden.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Paul McCann of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Quentin Cavaness of Cobden; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
