LAURA JOHNSON

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Laura M. Johnson, 72, of Perryville died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

She was born Nov. 6, 1927, in St. Louis, daughter of Sylvester and Lenora Taylor Hagan. She and Robert Johnson Sr. were married April 21, 1946. He died Aug. 4, 1984.

Johnson was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, Robert, Larry and John Johnson of Perryville, William Johnson of Old Appleton, Mo., Jack Johnson of Massachusetts; three daughters, Laura Rednour of Prairie DuRocher, Ill., Mary Cheek of Perryville, Joan Cisco of Potosi, Mo.; 34 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, a brother, and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. until time of service.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Irvin Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Red Bud City Cemetery in Red Bud, Ill.
