SCOTT CITY -- Laura Evelyn Sprenger, 78, of Scott City, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born May 22, 1913, at Oran, daughter of James Frederick and Edna Myrah Shoulders Griffith. She and Adolph Sprenger were married Sept. 15, 1929, at Illmo. He died March 13, 1989...

SCOTT CITY -- Laura Evelyn Sprenger, 78, of Scott City, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born May 22, 1913, at Oran, daughter of James Frederick and Edna Myrah Shoulders Griffith. She and Adolph Sprenger were married Sept. 15, 1929, at Illmo. He died March 13, 1989.

Sprenger worked at Ely Walker 13 years, at Thorngate in Chaffee 16 years, and at Lowenbaum a year. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Dickerson of Scott City; a sister, Sarah Jones of Dayton, Texas, and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

A prayer service will be held at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau at 11 a.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Eisleben Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
