JONESBORO, Ill. -- Laura E. Peters, 91, of Jonesboro, died Friday, Aug. 16, 1991, at the Life Care Center in Jonesboro. She was born March 14, 1900, in Jonesboro, daughter of Gustave and Elizabeth Animus Rudert. She married Henry Peters in 1926. He died in August 1955...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Laura E. Peters, 91, of Jonesboro, died Friday, Aug. 16, 1991, at the Life Care Center in Jonesboro.

She was born March 14, 1900, in Jonesboro, daughter of Gustave and Elizabeth Animus Rudert.

She married Henry Peters in 1926. He died in August 1955.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro.

Survivors are two sons, the Rev. Raymond Peters, Key West, Fla., Charles Peters, Benton, Ill.; a sister, Sophia Cruse, Jonesboro; two brothers, Fred Rudert, Peoria, Albert Rudert, Shelbyville; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Service will be today at 1 p.m. at Norris & Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The Rev. Robert Schrack will officiate, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.
