Lary Lee Glaus, 67, of Chaffee died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at his residence in Chaffee.
He was born Sept. 14, 1938, in Commerce, son of Joseph Ulrich and Beatrice Fay Knight Glaus. He and Dorothy Arnzen were married on June 29, 1957.
Glaus was a self-employed farmer and a retired heavy equipment operator and worked out of local union 513 out of Cape Girardeau. He was a veteran and served in the Marines. He was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and the St. Ambrose Men's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Glaus of Chaffee; three sons, Larry Glaus Jr., of Chaffee, Keith Glaus of Whitewater and Stacey Glaus of Chaffee; four daughters, Jo Donna Schwepker, Belinda Tetley, Laura Sanders and Maria Glaus, all of Chaffee; two sisters, Jacquelyn Vandeven and Debra Ann Eichhorn, both of Chaffee; 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Glaus and a great-granddaughter, Syndea Rhodes.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday with parish prayers at 7 p.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.
Pallbearers are Wade Sanders Jr., Matt Sanders, Tyler Glaus, Densen Glaus, Graig Tetley, Zach Schwepker, Trever Glaus and Jayden Griffin.
