LaRue Brown

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- F. "LaRue" Brown, 90, of Springfield, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

She was born Nov. 2, 1927, in Amarillo, Texas, to the late Haskell M. and Nina Carpenter Beeler. She and James L. Brown were married in 1950 at Amarillo. He preceded her in death Oct. 21, 1988.

She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son, Dean Brown and wife, Darla, of Republic, Missouri; daughter, Becky Jacoby of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and three grandchildren, Daniel Brown, Neil Brown and Katie Jacoby.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, three sisters and a son, Thomas Brown.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will follow at noon Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Conley officiating. Entombment will take place at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
