SIKESTON -- Larry Ray Western Sr., 51, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at St. Louis University Hospital.
He was born Oct. 29, 1948 in Charleston, son of Harbert R. Western and Ruth E. Shawn Western.
He married Patricia Stout Jan. 22, 1966 at St. Louis. She survives.
He was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church. He was a machinist with Essex Wire 23 years.
Survivors include his mother, of Sikeston; two sons, Steven Western and Larry Western Jr., both of Sikeston; three daughters, Sherry Mock of Bertrand, Margaret Tucker and Irene Watkins, both of Sikeston; two sisters, Janet Johnson and Phyllis Harms, both of Sikeston; and, 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, with the Rev. Steven Vester, pastor of Old Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
