OAK RIDGE, Mo. -- Funeral Mass for Larry Hugh Trickey of Oak Ridge will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Larry Trickey, 59, died Monday, June 5, 2000, in an automobile accident.

He was born Dec. 12, 1940, in Cape Girardeau, son of Hugh L. and Lucille Strong Trickey.

Larry Trickey was a graduate of Cape Catholic High School, received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Florida, and received master's degrees from Washington University and Webster Groves College.

He was a former basketball coach at Notre Dame High School. He was a counselor with Gibson Recovery Center in Perryville. Larry Trickey was a horse trainer and breeder and owned Trickey Quarter Horses in Oak Ridge.

Survivors include two daughters, Bunnie Trickey Cotton of Jefferson City, Tamra Trickey of Leawood, Kan.; his mother, Lucille Trickey of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Mary Lynn Kassebaum of Foster City, Calif., Martha Kade of Humble, Texas; and two grandchildren, Wesley and Cameron Trickey Cotton.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

The family requests memorials be made to Notre Dame High School Foundation, 225 Notre Dame Drive, Cape Girardeau, Mo.
