LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Larry Clinton Kelley, 62, of Leopold died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at his home.
He was born Aug. 21, 1941, at Sikeston, Mo., son of John W. and Edra M. Clinton Kelley. He and Diana S. Kelley were married in 1964. He and Emily M. Elfrink were married May 5, 1990.
Kelley was a graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau, and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
He was an independent insurance agent with Cornerstone Senior Services. He was a former agent with Shield of Shelter Insurance, and had worked at Household Finance, Tower Loan, and Sikeston Securities Finance. He attended St. John Catholic Church.
Kelley served with the U.S. Coast Guard from 1961 to 1969.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeffrey and Brett Kelley of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, LeAnn McGowan of Virginia Beach, Va.; a stepson, Danny Scharenberg of Virginia Beach; his mother, Edra Scott of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Kathy Dryer of Drewsey, Ore., Martha Royston of St. Louis; a brother, John Kelley of Bend, Ore.; and two stepgrandsons.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo., from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bill Huggins officiating. Graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Cemetery.
