Larry Owen Howard, 70, of Hillsboro, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at his home.
He was born Feb. 26, 1938, at Caruthersville, Mo., son of Ernest and Ollie Barrow Howard. He married Pam Bellah.
Howard was a truck driver. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church in De Soto, Mo.
He served with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Salois of St. Louis; three sons, Douglas Howard of Scott City, Jason Howard of Hillsboro, Dale Howard of Festus, Mo.; a sister, Aleda Anderson of St. Louis; four brothers, Arry and Odean Howard of St. Louis, Joe Howard of Elkhart, Ind., David Howard of Fenton, Mo.; and six grandsons.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
The funeral was held Monday at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, with Jimmie Turner and Ron Barton officiating. Burial was in Hillsboro Cemetery.
