MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Larry Hooppaw, 61, of Maryville, Mo., died suddenly Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, in Maryville.
He was born Sept. 1, 1939, in Mound City, son of Everett and Maudie Schuler. He married Joan Griffin.
Hooppaw was a 1957 graduate of Mound City High School and received a degree in business administration from Union University in Jackson, Tenn., in 1961.
He was a store manager with JCPenney 25 years, currently working in Maryville.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry Hooppaw Jr. of Springdale, Ark., Byron Hooppaw of Evansville, Ind.; two daughters, Angela Harvard of Dallas, Texas, Amy Beckmas of Memphis, Tenn.; his mother of Mound City; a stepsister, Roberta Schaefer of Owensboro, Ky.; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
Friends may call at First Baptist Church in Maryville after 6 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in a Maryville cemetery.
Price Funeral Home in Maryville is in charge of arrangements.
