Larry J. Hale, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Vanduser, Mo., son of Herbert R. and Cassie D. Andrews Hale. He and Della Barnes were married Jan. 5, 1957, in Hernando, Miss. She died June 14, 1994.

Hale graduated from Morley High School. He was a salesman for Heartland Distributing Company for 15 years. After retirement he drove a bus for First Student Transportation and was a driver for Cape County Transit Authority.

He was a member of Red Star Baptist Church. Hale was a member of Eagles Aerie 3775.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Hamilton of Cape Girardeau; a son, Mike Hale of Warren, Mich.; two sisters, Kathie Crader of Bald Knob, Ark., and Sue Sherry of Collinsville, Ill.; a brother, Paul Hale of Cape Girardeau; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Todd Greer officiating.

Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park.
