Larry Francis Reid, 45, 1848 Thilenius, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1992, at his home.
He was born Sept. 26, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of Leonard and Elodie McLane Reid.
Reid graduated from Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity at the university.
He worked at Sears in Miami, Fla.; worked 12 years at Miami Lake Sporting Goods, and the past four years worked at Webster Sporting Goods in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Reid moved back to Cape Girardeau in April. He was a member of Red Star Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother; five brothers, Robert Reid of Florissant, John Reid of Maryland Heights, Amos Reid of Cape Girardeau, Donald Reid of Cuba, Ill., Jim Reid of Ft. Branch, Ind.; three sisters, Dorothy McCullough of Medora, Ill., Betty Followell of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Peggy Childers of Cape Girardeau.
His father died in July.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. David Pringle will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
