CHAFFEE -- Larry Estelle Bass, 44, of Chaffee died Sunday, March 24, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born March 5, 1952, at Cairo, Ill., son of Luke Estelle "Tony" Bass and Roberta Abney Bass. He and Glenda F. Kinder were married Nov. 19, 1983.
Bass was employed as a chief engineer for Inland River Towing in Greenville, Miss. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was a deacon of the People's Full Gospel Church in Chaffee, a member of the Promise Keepers Club in Cape Girardeau and the K.M.A. Side Band CB Radio Club of Missouri.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Roberta and Glen Curneal of Advance; his wife; a son, Shawn Kinder of Chaffee; two daughters, Joan Hooker of Chaffee and Tina Schaut of Mishawaka, Ind.; a brother, the Rev. Spencer Bass of Chaffee; a sister, Tonita Little of Mauriceville, Texas; his paternal grandmother, Myrtle Bass of Barlow, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Revs. Spencer Bass and Paul House will officiate. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
