Capt. Larry Dean Drum, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at his home. Larry was born Sept. 3, 1941, in Cape Girardeau to Genevieve Drum-Angle and Kenneth Drum. Capt. Larry Dean Drum, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at his home.

Larry was born Sept. 3, 1941, in Cape Girardeau to Genevieve Drum-Angle and Kenneth Drum. He married JoAnn Mandrelle on May 8, 1960, in Cape Girardeau.

He was a 1959 Cape Girardeau Central High School graduate.

Larry was a member of Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge and the Jaycee Golf Course. He worked for several towboat companies for 44 years.

In retirement, he enjoyed golfing, bowling and time with family and friends. Larry donated his body to science through the Genesis program at the Medical Education and Research Institute.

Larry is survived by his wife, JoAnn Drum; sons, Larry Keith (Karen) Drum of Yorba Linda, California, and Spencer (Diane) Drum of Cape Girardeau; a grandson, Dalton Drum; two granddaughters, Daley Drum and Demi Drum of Cape Girardeau; and two stepgranddaughters, Lindsay Winters and Ashley Broskey of Yorba Linda.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Drum.

No memorial services will be held.

Donations my be made to Hobbs Chapel Church of Cape Girardeau.
