CHARLESTON -- Larry C. Coleman, 49, of Charleston drowned Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, in Upper Big Lake.
He was born Feb. 12, 1950, in Charleston, son of Fred and Elsie Harris Coleman. He and Lucille Kent were married June 4, 1972.
Coleman was a mechanic with Missouri Department of Transportation more than 28 years. He was a member of Opportunity Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael Coleman of Sikeston, Larenzle Coleman of Charleston; four daughters, Angela Walker of Killeen, Texas, Shawn Swanson of Aurora, Ill., Elsie and Alicia Coleman of Charleston.
Also surviving are three sisters, Arnita Crain of Kenosha, Wis., Nellie Cook of Zion, Ill., Catherine Traver of Chicago; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Opportunity Church, with Elder Steve Betts officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
