OLD APPLETON -- Graveside service for Larry E. Butler of Manchester will be held at 10 a.m. today at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Old Appleton. The Rev. Janet Hopkins will officiate.

Young and Sons Funeral Home at Perryville is in charge of arrangements.

Butler, 54, died Tuesday, May 13, 1997, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Jan. 27, 1943, at Clayton, son of John Earl and Sylvia L. Simpson Butler. He and Irene "Renie" Richter were married March 28, 1964.

Butler was owner of T&M Construction. He taught hunter safety courses for Missouri Department of Conservation. He was a member of American Legion Post 133, Rose Hill Masonic Lodge in Creve Coeur, and life member of National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife; his father of St. Charles; his mother of Owensville; a brother, Tom Butler of Ballwin; and a sister, Marilyn Ware of Pacific.

He was preceded in death by a sister.
