DELTA -- Funeral service for Lanson Lanpher of Delta will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Kenneth Martin will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Bob Bradford. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Arbor.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.

Lanpher, 78 years old, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 1991, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 14, 1912, in Advance, son of Nicklos and Ida Seabaugh Lanpher. He and the former Opal Montgomery were married Oct. 25, 1932.

Lanpher was an equipment operator with Fred Weber Construction Co. in St. Louis, retiring in 1975. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Delta, International Union Local 513 of St. Louis, and Whitewater Masonic Lodge 417 AF&AM.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Betty Miller and Inah Parks of Delta, Bonnie Kinder of Dutchtown; five grandchildren, Steve Ikerman, Jess Kinder, Troy, Robin and Joseph Parks, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
