ZALMA -- Landis Beal, 82, of Zalma died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 27, 1917, at Zalma, son of Howard and Cora Day Beal. He and Katie Cato were married July 1, 1938, at Marble Hill.
Beal was a timber worker 50 years.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Beal of Advance, Denver Beal of Zalma; a daughter, Marzella Blessing of Zalma; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, four brothers, two sisters, a grandson; and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dayl Wiseman officiating. Burial will be in Cato Cemetery.
