MATTHEWS -- Lala Mae McCann, 89, formerly of Canalou, died Tuesday, April 14, 1992, at Sells Rest Home here. She was born Jan. 5, 1903, at Cooter, daughter of Finis and Minnie Huey McClure. She married L.A. McCann in June 1921, at Cooter. He died Dec. 2, 1966...

MATTHEWS -- Lala Mae McCann, 89, formerly of Canalou, died Tuesday, April 14, 1992, at Sells Rest Home here.

She was born Jan. 5, 1903, at Cooter, daughter of Finis and Minnie Huey McClure. She married L.A. McCann in June 1921, at Cooter. He died Dec. 2, 1966.

McCann was a member of Canalou Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Alton McCann of Pagosa Springs, Colo., Col. Ray McCann of Belleville, Ill.; two daughters, Jean Geske of Matthews, Reva Smith of Charleston, Ill.; 16 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Robert Kriete will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
