ADVANCE -- Lacy W. Ladd, 86, of Advance, died Thursday, March 7, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 25, 1909, in Bollinger County, son of Edward and Cora Kinder Ladd. He and Freeda Hindman were married Dec. 24, 1941...

ADVANCE -- Lacy W. Ladd, 86, of Advance, died Thursday, March 7, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 25, 1909, in Bollinger County, son of Edward and Cora Kinder Ladd. He and Freeda Hindman were married Dec. 24, 1941.

Ladd was a retired timber worker and farmer. He was a member of Ladd Chapel Church near Zalma. He served on the Balch Cemetery Board more than 20 years.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Carolyn Price, Advance Route 2, and a brother, Finis Ladd of Sturdivant.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Chapel from 4:30-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Page officiating. Burial will be in Balch Cemetery.
