JACKSON -- Funeral service will be held Tuesday for LaCretia E. Drum, 56, of Jackson.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.

The Rev. Bill Ellis will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She died Saturday, April 26, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Roy Glenn and Helen Miller McCallister.

She and Jake E. Drum were married on Aug. 31, 1958. He survives.

She was employed with the Missouri School Counselors Association.

She was chairman and past secretary of the Cape Girardeau County Democratic Party Central Committee.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson.

She served on the Cape Girardeau County Cerebral Palsy Board, was a founder of the Mississippi River Valley Scenic Tour, a delegate to the state Democratic Convention, past president of the Junior Women's Study Club, past chairman of the Most Outstanding Young Women of America group, and past president of the Committee for Veteran Affairs.

She also was a member of the Jackson City Park Board, Jackson Jaycee Wives, Daughters of the American Revolution, Missouri and national historic preservation societies, Phi Alpha Theta, Community Postal Relations Board and the Democratic Women's Club.

Besides her husband, survivors include her mother; two daughters, LeAndrea E. Drum of Tampa, Fla., and Stephanie L. Skelton of Jackson; a son, Jeff E. Drum of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother Glenn Miller McCallister of Jackson; and a granddaughter.
