Kimberly "Kim" King, 53, of Jackson, formerly of Delta, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 23, 1959, in Kittery, Maine, to Larry Don and Nelda Jean Sparkman Schwepker. She married R. Bruce King Dec. 31,1987. He survives.
Kimberly worked as a business manager at Facilities Management for Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.
Survivors include her husband of the home; her mother and father, Nelda and Ivis Kinder of Delta; a son, Robert Forest King of Jackson; a daughter, Sarah River (Colton) Schwab of Ozark, Ala.; a brother, Bryan (Melissa) Kinder of Chaffee, Mo; her granny, Viola Kinder of Delta; and an aunt, Barbara Schwepker of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Don Schwepker, and grandparents, Bill and Mildred Sparkman, Frank Kinder and Adath Schwepker.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Kevin Olson officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Eqypt Mills or the American Cancer Society.
