Kim D. Hemmann, 57, of Jackson died Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at her home in Jackson.

She was born Oct. 13, 1958, in Cape Girardeau to Jim M. and Marilyn Mae Tibbs Hency. She and Howard N. Hemmann were married May 10, 1980, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

Kim graduated from Kelly High School in Benton, Missouri, in 1976 and graduated from Metro Business College in Cape Girardeau.

She was a secretary for R.B. Potashnick Construction from 1977 to 1983. She then worked as a secretary for both St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Jackson.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Kantorei (the church choir).

She is survived by her husband, Howard Hemmann, and daughter, Ashley Lynn Hemmann, both of Jackson; her father, Jim M. Hency of Rogers, Arkansas; a brother, Darren Hency of Buchanan, Michigan; an aunt, Marie Robert of Benton; an uncle, Paul Hency of Niles, Michigan; and two cousins, Pam Glastetter of Benton and Ken Robert of Boston.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Hency; both maternal and paternal grandparents; and two cousins, Becky Lovett and Keith Robert.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Eric Longman officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran School Foundation, Music at St. Paul or Southeast Hospice.
