McCLURE, Ill. -- Kevin Arnold Poppen, 30, of McClure died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, in an automobile accident in East Cape Girardeau, Ill.
He was born Nov. 26, 1976, in Chester, Ill., son of Alfred and Linda Foeste Poppen. He and Lisa Dibenedetto were married Nov. 28, 1998, in Bremen, Ill.
He worked for Delta Asphalt Inc. in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of East Cape Baptist Church and Iron Workers Local 782.
Survivors include his wife; his father, Alfred Poppen and step-mother, Vickie Poppen of Olive Branch, Ill.; his mother, Linda Hall of McClure; three sons, Dylan Dibenedetto, Seth and Mathew Poppen of McClure; three brothers, Edward "E.J." Poppen of McClure, Shannon Poppen of Thebes, Ill., Alfred Poppen of Sebring, Fla.; and a sister, Susan Kuehne of McClure.
Visitation will be at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matt Butrum officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.
