Kevin E. Leadbetter, 58, of Jackson, formerly of Sturdivant, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at his home. Kevin E. Leadbetter, 58, of Jackson, formerly of Sturdivant, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at his home.

He was born Feb. 25, 1961, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Cletus and Mary Lee Robins Leadbetter.

Kevin had worked at Nestle Purina for over 14 years as a control specialist. He was co-owner with his wife of Florals by Valeria in Advance, Missouri. He was a member of Bethel General Baptist Church near Advance and was a former member of Connection Point Church. Kevin enjoyed woodworking and had a love for working on electronics. He had a passion for music and loved playing guitar.

Kevin and Valeria Shrum were united in marriage Dec. 6, 1997, at Greenville, Missouri, and she survives of the home.

Loving survivors include his wife, Valeria Leadbetter; a son, Trenton Rogers of Jackson; two daughters, Angela Burnett of Jackson and Rachel Leadbetter of Jackson; a brother, Stanley (Angie) Leadbetter of Advance; and four grandchildren, Aly Morris, Vyncent Burnett, William Burnett and Landon Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Vester and Ethel Robins and Paul and Myrtle Leadbetter.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Fred Ritter and the Rev. Kevin Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
