OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Kevin W. Collins, 52, of Tallahassee, Fla., formerly of Olive Branch, died Saturday, March 4, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 24, 1953, in Cairo, Ill., son of Bill and Jo Siers Collins. He and Judi Thornton were married Feb. 23, 1974.

Collins was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He was a private contractor working as a systems analyst in the computer industry.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Wade Collins of Tallahassee; a daughter, Katy Collins of Tallahassee; his parents, Bill and Jo Collins of Olive Branch; a brother, Mark Collins of Olive Branch; two sisters, Julie Milton of Benton, Ill., Joanie Kluesner of Cape Girardeau; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Mary Sue Thornton of Tamms, Ill.; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

The funeral will be at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Herman Lawrence officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
