Kevin Baker, 54, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021.

He was born April 17, 1967, to John and Karen Point Baker.

Kevin is survived by a son, Hunter Baker of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Jessica Baker of Cape Girardeau; mother, Karen Point Baker of Cape Girardeau; brother, Matt Baker of Cape Girardeau; and grandchild, Kennedy Baker.

Kevin worked as a union glazier for his family business, Cape Paint & Glass, since high school. As an early teen he had a love for horses. He traveled with his mom, Karen, and showed them as a family hobby. He grew up fishing and hunting, which ended up being a lifelong passion of his and took up most of his free time when he wasn't working.

He spent the fall and winter seasons guiding duck hunts at Arrowhead Lodge for the past eight years. He made many friends doing what he loved, who shared the same passion he had for the outdoors. These friends became like family to him, and they will all miss him dearly.

Kevin also enjoyed training his Labrador retrievers, which he had and raised throughout his hunting career. His dogs were a big part of his life and meant so much to him.

He loved his family deeply and his two kids, Jessie and Hunter, were his world. He welcomed his first grandchild, Kennedy Claire Baker, in March of this year. He was a very proud grandpa and couldn't wait to take her hunting one day. His family miss him but will carry the memories in their hearts forever.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Baker
